BMW M3 F80 Atlantis Blue - Feynlab Ceramic

Updated: Dec 15, 2018

BMW M3 F80 Atlantis blue exterior detail with paintwork coated with Feynlab Ceramic & Top Coat.

Duration: 3 Days

Main Coating: Feynlab Ceramic & Top Coat

Durability: 3 Years

Firstly wheels were removed, so they could be fully decontaminated and cleaned, while these were off the wheel arches were also cleaned.

Wheels temporarily put back on for the a safe wash and a full chemical decontamination. This includes treatments with; Feynlab Wash, KKD Citrus Magic, KKD Iron Rain,KKD Tar-Tastic and Feynlab Pure Wash. Car was then dried and moved into the workshop for Clay Bar treatment with Bilt Hamber Soft clay and Feynlab Prime.

After blowing out all the trims with hot filtered air, I was ready to start the 2-Stage machine polish. Feynlab F100 Heavy Cut Compound with a course pad was used for the first stage and refined with Koch Chemie M2.02 with a finishing pad.

Wheels were again removed and wiped over with U-pol slow degreaser ready for coating with KKD R-evolve X as well as the callipers. Wheel arches were dressed with KKD Trim X.

With the wheels coated and put back on, the car was wiped down with U-pol slow degreaser ready for Feynlab Ceramic. Once this had been applied I coated the headlights, light clusters and the exterior plastics with Feynlab Plastic, then onto the windows which I coated with Gtechniq G1.

The car was now ready for Feynlab Top Coat. After I had finished this application I baked the surfaces with shortwave Infra red curing lights, each panel had 15 minutes at approximately 60 degrees.

The interior was vacuumed and windows cleaned with KKD Krystal Klear, tyres were dressed with KKD Tyresol. A final check over and another overnight stay, the car was ready for collection.

These pictures really don't do this paint colour justice, in reality it's outstanding!
